A very enriching and rewarding panel discussion was held at SAIFEE GOLDEN JUBLIEE ENGLISH PUBLIC SCHOOL, on the topic ‘Privileges and Constraints on the citizens of United Kingdom, India, China, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, in 15th February 2017, in the presence of Ms. Saira Shah Halim, an eminent educator, writer, theater personality and a social activist. The panelists were the students of classes IX and X. The students enthusiastically participated and presented their ideas and interacted among themselves, and enriched us about their respective countries, under the guidance and supervision of their teachers. Saifee Hall wins at Milan Mela 2016-2017

West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation organized a range of events at Milan Mela, Park Circus Ground from 8th February, 2017 to 13th February, 2017. The events included Sit and Draw, Mehendi Competition, Quiz, Culinary Art, Poster Making and Cultural Programmes. Students of various schools like Saifee Hall, St. Augustine’s, Loreto, Apeejay, St. John’s and others took part in the events. Students from Saifee Hall School emerged as winners in the Poster Making Competition and in the Culinary Arts Competition. For which there was an Orientation Program held for the students in the school Auditorium on Friday, 10th February, 2017. The Tanti Bagh Educational Society is a Government recognized reading room and library which initiated an all Bengal Cultural Competition named as the "Tanti Bagh Educational Society Adbi Tehreek" and they organized many competitions like debate, ghazal khawani, news reading etc. Students from Saifee Hall participated under the guidance of our beloved Urdu Teachers – Mr. Jawed Akhtar and Mrs. Benazir Omar and the students won three prizes for our school. Great endeavor was put up by the students of class IX – C (Commerce) and it could be clearly seen in their wonderful, coulourful yet informative models, which was further supported by the charts giving more information about the concerned topic. The teacher in charge was Mrs. Rashida Broachwala. These were 3D display of Geography Models showing various geographical phenomena and environmental problems (like Global Warming, Pollution), Volcanic eruption, Temperate Evergreen Forest, 3 stages of the river (Upper, Middle & Lower) with various landforms it forms, Hot and Cold Deserts and working model of Hydro Electric Power (HEP) are to name a few. On 3rd December 2016, Saifee Hall organized a science exhibition "Genisys 2016" at girl's terrace. The exhibition began at 8:30 as slowly the guardians/parents accompanied with their ward started taking tour of the exhibition. At the entrance of the exhibition was the exhibit of “burning of the currency” at this demonetizing situation, not to mention that the note used was a real one and was burnt again and again but never caught fire. Then there was the combustion of fire from water where the girls sprinkle the liquid causing fire in the bowl. Then we had a trickster playing with cards followed by a “road roller” totally homemade using cardboard and thermacol. After this we saw the plating of coins from gold colour to silver and vice versa. Moving on…
